We’re looking for students, workers, seniors, in groups or singly, who want to have fun while helping us out.

 

THE BENEFITS OF BEING A NOMADFEST VOLUNTEER

  • Get credit for volunteer time – enhances a CV; letter of recommendation available (on request);
  • Variety of positions available;
  • Access to the Festival for all volunteers, outside of their work shifts;
  • Meal included at the Festival’s gourmet food stations;
  • A ticket for the Sunday Rodeo, gray section (3 shifts performed)
  • Event shirt.

 

BASIC INFO

All applicants must:

  • Be available for a minimum of 3 work shifts during the entirety of the event, which runs from August 24 to 27, 2017
  • Attend specific training sessions; dates and times will be provided after you are hired

Access control

– Oversee access control on the site using scanners to read bracelets and rodeo tickets.
– Monitor site for unauthorized entry by the exit.
– Use ink stamp to ensure that festival-goers who leave the site can re-enter.
– Greet arriving rodeo spectators and direct them to their seats.

Saturday, August 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to midnight
Sunday, August 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Information kiosks

– Know the schedule of shows and rodeos, details, and locations of activities.
– Answers questions from festival-goers and direct them to the right locations on the site.
– Should be comfortable working with the public.

Friday, August 25 from 3:30 p.m. to midnight
Saturday, August 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to midnight
Sunday, August 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Traffic control

– Ensure that pedestrian traffic on the site is smooth and orderly.
– Answer questions from festival-goers and direct them to the right locations on the site.
– Should be comfortable working with the public.
